Comic books.

I loved comic books growing up so much that I can almost say it was
through these wonderful books and characters that I entered the magic world of reading. I liked them all, from Batman to Little Lulu (La Pequeña Lulú).
The former, now unknown by most, was one of my favorites.

I try to use comics whenever I can in the classroom. It is definitely a
fun way to teach reading.

For those interested in this old chatacter, here are some links to Little Lulu:

Just wanted to share that I learned to read in spanish through comic books my cousins from Mexico left behind at our house when they came to visit us.
